Farms and social skills...

We finished up our farm unit this week with more animals and great books. Here are our pigs!
We had our second gross motor class with Mr. Ron - we love the activities we do with him.

We learned about the colors gray and pink, the numeral 4 and the letter E.

The coping skill we added this week was "move away". We want our students to know that it is good to move away from someone who is bothering them or distracting them.
We continue to work on "ready to learn" behaviors. One of our lessons was about focusing on our work and on the directions at morning group time. We are learning to pay attention to what is important, and trying to ignore distractions. This helps us be more successful with our work and learning.
We used pictures of us jumping to create this fall bulletin board in the hallway.
School picture day will be next Friday, September 28.
Reminder: We have physical education/gross motor skills in the gym on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Students need tennis shoes to participate in all of the activities in the gym. Much thanks!
