Apples!

This was Apple Week in our classroom. We enjoyed reading stories about Johnny Appleseed and creating our own Johnny Appleseeds with an apple print for his head! We made big apples and apple cores and we cooked apples to grind for some delicious applesauce!

 

We learned about the number 5, the color white and the letters F and G.
We had our second music therapy lesson with Miss Marlowe!

We also had some social skills lessons about self-talk - this is a strategy students can use to help themselves listen, follow directions and stay on task. We practiced the coping skill of self talk when we began our work this week. We also reviewed our "ready to learn" rules : eyes watching, ears listening, voice quiet, body still. 

Friday was school picture day - we think we all looked pretty wonderful!!!
